With a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of South Carolina Upstate and his Juris Doctorate from Emory University Law School, you may be surprised to know that Thomas Belenchia grew up in a small community in the Mississippi Delta. Farming cotton, rice and soybeans for over 12 years he's no stranger to the "sun-up to sun-down" mentality. As the founder and managing member of A Business Law Firm, LLC, the firm is a direct reflection of his commitment to professionalism and service to others.

Thomas started A Business Law Firm, LLC, in 1994, with two distinguishing assets: the work ethic of a Mississippi Delta farmer and the tenacity of a United States Marine. He prides himself in his ability to listen to the client and empathize with their feelings and needs. Business owners are confident, knowing Thomas excels in managing legal structures such as corporate formations, mergers, and asset protection. He works through complex legal scenarios and makes them simple. Thomas' clients can expect thoughtful and experienced legal counsel.

In addition to growing a successful law practice serving South and North Carolina, his community contributions are numerous. Thomas is currently serving a third term on the Spartanburg Board of Architectural Design and Historic Review. He has dedicated over 15 years to the Eastside Spartanburg Rotary Club, serving as President and attending five International Conventions. He is a member of the German-American Club of the Carolinas. His interest in sustainable, energy-efficient development led him to becoming the only LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) attorney in Upstate South Carolina. With more than 21 years of experience, Thomas continues to attract local and international clients to A Business Law Firm, LLC.

Thomas is married to Elizabeth Belenchia, CEO of Carroll Properties Corporation. When Thomas is not in the office he enjoys meeting new people wherever he finds them: in his business networking group, at Rotary functions or at local home-gardening stores, which means he has plenty of opportunities, since Thomas can be found most weekends working in his extensive home garden.
